Investment Challenge finalist takes Student Entrepreneur prize

Jonathan Wrait will represent New Zealand in New York.

Jonathan Wrait, co-founder of Virtuoso Tutoring, has won the national Global Student Entrepreneur Awards final and will represent New Zealand at the global event in New York this month.

Wrait and business partner Jonathan Lawry are finalists in this year's Unlimited Investment Challenge. Wrait is Virtuoso's managing director and is studying at the University of Auckland Business School. The company tutors high school students in partnership with the schools themselves.

The other two finalists in the New Zealand Student Entrepreneur Awareds are Veronica Nobbs from mobile application venture Get a Room and Chuck Slogrove from advertising venture Green Box.

The global competition is for undergraduate students and aims to inspire them to adopt entrepreneurial endeavours.
